Eligibility

Applicants must possess an appropriate professional health qualification and have at least two years’ postgraduate clinical experience.

Content

This paper will enable students to have a basic understanding of the principles and practice of interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and to critically evaluate this knowledge. Students will learn to formulate the presentation of a patient using interpersonal theory and understand and plan the focus of IPT for a patient. Students will also understand the development of IPT.

Teaching Arrangements

Four compulsory two-day workshops - to be arranged.

Assessment

There are three assessment items for PSMX 425 which comprise two essays and one group case presentation.
