Eligibility

Applicants must have experience of or be currently working in the mental health area.

Content

This paper will cover the symptomatology, natural history, aetiology, epidemiology and assessment of the common mental disorders of children, adults and the elderly.

Candidates will also be expected to know about the purposes and principles of classification and diagnosis, and be able to apply this knowledge by assessing people who suffer from mental disorders.

The paper will also cover the topics of mental health care delivery.

Assessment

There are four assessment items: one essay, one written clinical case and discussion, one clinical examination and one written examination.
