Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences endorsed in Gerontology

Overview

A Postgraduate Diploma comprising 120 points focussing on health care of older people.

Requirements

Candidates for the PGDipHealSc (Gerontology) must

  1. be a graduate or possess an appropriate health professional qualification requiring at least three years' full-time tertiary study
  2. have experience of or be currently working in the field of health or social care relevant to older people

Structure of the PGDipHealSc

(i) Compulsory paper:

(ii) One of:

Health Care of the Elderly (30 points)

Nursing - Gerontology (30 points)

(iii) An approved research methods paper (totalling 30 points)
