Postgraduate Certificate in Women's Health (PGCertWHth)

Overview

The University of Otago offers several papers in obstetrics and gynaecology designed for family planning trainees, midwives, general practitioners, continuing medical education registrants.

Requirements

Every candidate for the Certificate shall:

  1. have been admitted to a degree or diploma of a university, or
  2. hold an appropriate qualification approved by the Board of the Faculty of Medicine

Structure of the Programme

The programme shall comprise papers to the value of 60 points: any three of OBGX 712, OBGX 713, OBGX 715, or OBGX 716 (6 points each) plus one of OBGX 718 or OBGX 719 (6 points each).

The duration of the programme shall be half an academic year of full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study. Candidates are normally expected to complete the programme in two years.
