Two gold medals for outstanding achievement in medical science and health research
will be awarded at the academic inauguration ceremony at the University of Otago,
Christchurch today.
Major alcohol and depression
study nearing completion

The National Addiction Centre at the University of Otago, Christchurch is conducting
a unique international study to try to improve treatment for people with both
alcohol-related problems and depression, at the same time as the Law Commission
is preparing recommendations on reducing alcohol harm.
Summer
studentships’ health
research results
Students from the University of Otago, Christchurch, and other tertiary institutions,
will present the results of their medical research over the summer (10 weeks)
on Friday 29 January 2010 in the Rolleston Lecture Theatre (9am -2.45 pm). The
