Welcome from the DeanWelcome to the University of Otago, Christchurch The University of Otago, Christchurch (previously Christchurch School of Medicine) vision is to be a research-led campus with an international reputation for excellence. Although part of New Zealand’s most research intensive University, we are primarily based on the Christchurch Hospital campus, and work in close partnership with the Canterbury District Health Board. The campus is host to a diverse range of research, including many research groups with international reputations. The campus has a proud tradition of medical student teaching, research student (PhD) supervision, and a growing reputation for postgraduate health sciences teaching.
